About Satopanth Expedition

Satopanth expedition Trek is an Enchant Gangotri valley in the Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarkashi district in Uttarakhand India. Satopanth Meaning in the local language is “True Pathway to Haven”. Satopanth Expedition is at an elevation of 7075 meters. It is second-highest mountain in the Gangotri group which lies in a remote region of Uttarakhand. Mt. Satopanth is located in the Gangotri Valley of the Garhwal region of the Himalayas in the state of Uttarakhand, India. Being a “seven thousander” and the 2nd highest peak in the Gangotri Valley, it is considered to be a good practice climbing opportunity for Everest hopefuls. The climb is a complex one over glaciers and the approach to the summit takes one over a knife-edge ridge, thus making it a very technical and challenging climb. The Satopanth Expedition split glaciers and the approach is difficult. There is the snow slopes and sharp ridges before the summit boost the adventure 100 times than any other expedition.

Day 1: Pick up to you from Dehradun railway station – Drive to Gangotri.

Day 2: Rest day + Acclimatization.

Day 3: Trek from Gangotri to Bhojbasa camp (14 km) (6/7 Hours) (3775 Meter).

Day 4: Trek from Bhojbasa to Nandanvan (4337 m) via Gomukh.

Day 5: An Acclimatization Day at Nandanvan.

Day 6: Trek Nandanvan to Vasuki Tal (Base Camp) (4898 m).

Day 7: Acclimatization at Vasuki Tal (4898 m).

Day 8: Vasuki Tal (Base Camp) to Advance Base Camp (ABC) (5130 m).

Day 9: Acclimatization at Advance Base Camp (ABC) (5130 m).

Day 10: On Advance Base Camp (Load ferry to camp 1).

Day 11: Advance Base Camp to Camp 1 (5800 m).

Day 12: Camp 1 (Load ferry to camp 2).

Day 13: Trek Camp 1 to Camp 2 (Summit camp) (6200 m).

Day 14: Camp 2 (6200 m) to Summit (Satopanth summit (7075 m) and back to Camp 2.

Day 15: Reserve Day for Summit.

Day 16: Camp 2 to Camp 1 (Descend).

Day 17: Camp 1 to Base Camp and from there to Advance Base Camp (ABC).

Day 18: Vasuki Tal to Nandanvan.

Day 19: Nandanvan to Chirbasa.

Day 20: Chirbasa to Gangotri and from there to Uttarkashi.

Day 21: Uttarkashi to Dehradun.

In the event of cancellation of expedition/adventure activity services due to any avoidable / unavoidable reasons we must be notified of the same in writing. Cancellation charges will be effective from the date we receive advice in writing, and cancellation charges would be as follows: -

  • In the event of cancellation of any expedition/adventure activity services due to any avoidable/unavoidable reasons, we must be notified the same via mail at info@outsideexplorer.com.
  • If the trek is cancelled by us due to any reason (heavy snowfall, rainfall, natural disaster etc.) then the refund would not be initiated but you can go on the same trek another year.
  • The cancellation charges are as follows:
  • -No bank charges deducted will be Refundable.
  • -Up to 30 Days – 90% cost is Refundable.
  • -Between 21 to 30 Days – 50% cost is Refundable.
  • -Less than 20 Days – No Refund.
  • -Refunds are initiated in 7-8 business days.
